We are excited to invite you to participate in Student Led Conferences (SLC) with your Whitman Middle School student! These conferences can be done at home OR In-Person at the school.

Student Led Conference (SLC) Details

Student-Led Conferences will take place January 15 & 16, 2026. This year, we are encouraging all families to attend in person to support meaningful student engagement.

Important! No School Friday, Jan. 16, 2026

• There will be No School for students on Friday, January 16, 2026 to accommodate conferences.

Dates & Times

• Thursday, January 15, 2026 – Evening (4:30 p.m. – 7:30 p.m.)
• Friday, January 16, 2026 – Morning (9:00 a.m. – 11:30 a.m.)

Location

• Whitman Middle School Cafeteria (for in-person conferences)

What to Expect

Your student has been preparing a presentation to share their learning journey with you. Each presentation will include:

• Strengths in each class
• Wonders (areas of curiosity or growth)
• Goals for the second semester
  Students will also share samples of their work and portfolios.

At the end of the presentation, please take a few minutes to complete a feedback form. Your input helps us improve this process!

Conference Details For In-Person Conferences

• Each conference is 30 minutes
• Multiple conferences will take place in the cafeteria at the same time
• Teachers and support staff will be available to greet families and assist as needed

Please complete the presentation with your student at home before January 16, 2026 and submit the feedback form (link posted soon).
