Whitman MS Food Pantry: Food Drive Donations Needed

Summary : Food Donations Needed. Thank You.

Whitman MS Food Pantry

Food Donations Needed

Families, please consider donating to our Whitman Food Drive through Christmas Break.

We have had a recent increase in demand which has caused our on-site pantry to be critically low with Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) ending on Nov. 1, 2025. Food donated will stay at Whitman to support our families.

Aside from food, families can also contribute gift cards from Safeway or Fred Meyer. Gift cards can be dropped off at Whitman MS: Attention Food Drive.

The donations can be dropped off in the Main Office anytime.

Thank You! Your contribution will make a profound difference.

The Whitman Food Pantry helps supply food to directly to Whitman students. The pantry is supported by the Ballard Food Bank Weekend Food For Kids program.

The pantry will be open after school on Monday and Wednesday to bring home nightly dinners. It will be open again Thursday after school for students to bring home food for the weekend. The food is meant to feed the individual student, not the family as a whole. We encourage families to utilize the Ballard Food Bank if they are in need of support beyond our students. Please direct all questions to Leti Bravo; counselor at lrbravo@seattleschools.org

  • This pantry program works together with food from Ballard Food Bank.
  • Students will still bring home a bag of food for the weekend. They will have more choice in what they bring home.
  • Students can bring home dinner items during the week if they choose.

For those of you not seeking support from the food bank and are able to, please consider donating to our pantry.
