Black Lives Matter Apparel Design 2024 Form & Guidelines

Call For Artwork Mon, Jan. 22 – Mon, Feb. 5

To celebrate Black History Month and kick off Black Lives Matter at School Week, Whitman is inviting students to submit designs for Black Lives Matter apparel. The design will be featured on the front of black t-shirts and hoodies and will be available for purchase at a later time. Print this webpage and complete the information at the bottom or pick up a form in the Whitman MS office.

General Design Guidelines

Everyone is invited to submit a design
Include “Black Lives Matter” or “BLM” in the design
Design will be on the front of the shirt/hoodie
Use no more than 3 colors
Designs can be digital or by hand
Deadline is Monday, February 5, 2024
Designs will be reviewed by BBESU, WEB Leaders, School Administration and RET, and the PTSA Equity Committee.

Designs by Hand: Due February 5, 2024

Consider using oil pastels, tempera paints, or markers. Avoid using pencils since colors and lines won’t show up as well.
Use 8 1⁄2” x 11” size paper
Include your Full Name and Grade in the lower right corner of your design
Deliver your design to Ms. Runner in the front office with the submission form below

Digital Designs: Due February 5, 2024

Use optimal resolution
Submit your design to Ms. Runner by email as a .jpg or .png file attachment to jmrunner@seattleschools.org. Include your Full Name, Grade, and Advisory Teacher in your email text.
