WMS Parent Teacher Student Association
The Parent Teacher Student Association (PTSA) is a 501(c)(3) organization that supports Whitman’s students, families, and staff. We are here to make sure you have the opportunity to stay connected to your student’s middle school experience. Many research studies have shown that when parents/guardians are involved in their child’s education, these students achieve more regardless of socio-economic status/ethnic background or even their own parent’s education level and we look forward to working together to support Whitman Middle School families!

Nominations Being Accepted 23-24 PTSA Awards
Please use the form in the WMS Newsletter to nominate an individual for or any of the four PTSA awards: Golden Acorn, Outstanding Educator, Outstanding Advocate, and Honorary Life Membership Award.
Nominations are due by May 24, 2024. If you’d like to submit another nomination, please submit on a new form. Contact whitmanptsatreasurer@gmail.com if you have any questions. More information about this program can be found on the WSPTA website. Thank you!
The Whitman PTSA Needs YOU on the Board next year!
Please refer to the links in the WMS Newsletter to nominate yourself or someone else for an opportunity to contribute to the school and our students! Everyone is welcome and encouraged to participate!

Become a Member of the WMS PTSA
Why Become a Member of the PTSA?
Paid Membership in the Whitman PTSA benefits your child, their school community, and you! We encourage everyone in our Whitman MS community to become a Parent, Teacher, Student Association member.
If I become a PTSA Member, do I have to go to meetings? No, but we hope everyone will attend our General PTSA Meetings, where a paid membership allows you to vote! If I become a member, do I have to volunteer? No, joining and becoming a paid member of the PTSA is not the same as volunteering. If you choose to volunteer, we appreciate the parent/guardian and community help and support, but volunteering is not required. Reminder! If you registered/joined in prior years, you will still need to renew your membership for every school year.
Take this opportunity to join our group of motivated parents and teachers with one goal in mind—helping to create the best school experience possible for all Whitman students. Membership in the Whitman PTSA benefits your child, their school community, and you!
