Tryouts

• Tues 9/19: 4:00 p.m. – 5:45 p.m. For Grades 6 & 7 only.
• Wed 9/20: 2:45 p.m. – 4:30 p.m. For Grade 8 only and goalkeepers from all grades
• Thrs 9/21: 4:00 p.m. – 5:45 p.m. For everyone

Tryout Results: Varsity players will be notified Thursday night, or Friday morning at the latest. Coaches will do our best to let Varsity players know ASAP. JV players will be notified over the weekend. Location: Soccer field behind the school.

Girls Soccer Game Schedule

• First Varsity game: Sept. 23 at (New!) 9:30 a.m. vs. Eagle Staff at (New!) Garfield HS.
• First JV game: Sept. 30 @ 11 a.m. vs. Hamilton at Jane Addams 1 (no JV game on Sept. 23)

Soccer balls needed

We can use another ~10 soccer balls. If you can donate size 5 balls, new or in excellent condition, drop them off at the school and email the coaches to let us know.

Ultimate Frisbee

Practices are Monday and Fridays from 4 – 5:30 p.m. on the soccer field (in the middle of the track).

Volunteers Needed

We are looking for extra help at Ultimate Frisbee practices this year. This is usually one of the biggest sports in the Fall, and we could use some volunteer help on the field. Sports Packets and additional forms due are available for students to pick up at school and can also be downloaded from the list below. Forms are due before the first practice which starts the week of September 18, 2023.

Sports Physicals

Whitman Families if your student is new to Whitman or needs an updated sports physical (they are only good for 2 years from the date of the physical). Please make an appointment with your doctor for a sports physical as soon as possible. It is sometimes hard to get a physical in September when Fall sports start at the same time. Please bring this Physical Participation Form with you and have it signed by the physician. This form is good for two years and covers all middle school sports.
